Me

I'm Justin, artist and instructor at Blast from the Glass Studio, based out of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. With 20 years of stained glass experience, I specialize in Tiffany and mixed-method techniques that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary conceptual approaches - as far as my style, think cyber-church.

The Studio

My studio is located in Octopus Studios - on the 2nd floor. Inside the studio, I teach workshops for beginners and novices looking to explore this unique artform.

These workshops are for up to 6 people, take place on weekends, and provide you with all the material and supplies to create your first stained glass piece.

They typically take place from 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturdays.

First window sized piece is complete. I learned a lot, and now have the window design for my cyber church 2045.

Meant for beginners, you will learn cutting, shaping, and soldering with fun expert guidance in our studio. No experience needed and all equipment and glass material provided — leave with a unique glass piece to space or gift.

These workshops last 5-hours with a 30-minute break. Saturday workshops begin at 10:00am.
